Thrive by Design by Don Rheem is a crisp, credible, useful read for leaders of organizations.The workplace has evolved quickly, and people now seek positive connections with others and with the organization’s purpose as vital components of their work environment. I really appreciated Don Rheem's clear, direct style that was easy to follow. He links the recent discoveries in brain science with leadership opportunities. All leaders would benefit from understanding what motivates people to be at their best in an organization. Each chapter ends with a brief summary of insights and action steps. This makes it a “handbook for effective leadership†as well a book of good ideas based on neuroscience. The author covers such important topics as employee engagement, ways to confront disengagement, accountability tools, culture change, measuring progress, as well as validation, recognition, and feedback. He suggests WHAT to do, and with references to neuroscience, explains WHY it works.Don Rheem has deep credibility stemming from his backgrounds in science, business, and governmental leadership.

I'm using this book as a text for a course I am teaching on advanced psychology in organizations. Great resource!! Would highly recommend to those teaching this material as well as organizational leaders. Well written, clear, and comprehensive book on the neuroscience of organizational culture.
